Falcon Wireless Public Safety Newsletter . Special Fire and Rescue Edition
October 2003
.
. . . . . . . . .
Greetings!

This months Newsletter is especially for our fire department friends. For the past few months, we have been focusing on products and services of particular interest to law enforcement users, so we thought we might all benefit by reviewing some of the newer offerings in fire communications.

Before proceeding further, we would like to make special mention of the Golden Fork award for September that goes to the Equality Alabama Fire Department who treated us to homemade peanut better cake. Thanks guys and girls. You are winners!

Quick Access II let's you know when someone is there!
.
Since 9/11, we have begun to take increased precautions to protect our critical infrastructure. Today, many police and fire departments operate behind locked doors. Unauthorized entry is no longer acceptable. Even those departments that do not feel the need for security from outside forces are subject to vandalism. The aforementioned Quick Talk Reporter provides a great way to announce uninvited visitors.

The Quick Access II provides a means to announce the arrival of those who would enter by more traditional procedures, like knocking on a locked door. With Quick Access II, your visitors can broadcast their arrival to everyone in the area using the Patriot monitor station or regular VHF or UHF personal 2-way radios. The price? Just $259 complete for your choice of VHF or UHF. We'll do the programming FREE!

When you are ready to order, just click on the link below. You can order or line, or if you prefer, just give us a call - locally at 205.854.2611 or toll free from anywhere in the USA at 1.800.489.2611

Quick Talk Reporter tells you when someone enters!
.
Do you want to KNOW when someone has entered your fire hall? The new Quick Talk Reporter can be connected to a door sensor or other sensor as desired. When someone enters the premises, a voice message is broadcast to your pagers. A message is also sent when they leave. The message content can be changed as desired as well as the outbound paging codes.

You have a choice of CTCSS, DCS, DTMF or 2-tone paging. The price? Just $299 complete for your choice of VHF or UHF. We'll do the programming FREE! If you prefer, you can order a PC programming kit for only $99!

Why we visit county fire association meetings!
.
We sometimes make reference to our visits with various fire departments throughout Alabama and occasionally in other states as well. The question comes up as to why we go to these meetings, what we have to say when we get there, and whether our presentations are worthwhile.

We know that you don't need another chest thumping proclamation by a vendor claiming their products are better than all others while having the lowest cost and never requiring repair, and even if it does require repair, it won't take long or cost much. We think your time is too valuable to subject you to such foolishness.

For allowing us a few minutes of your valuable time, we do our best to make sure that time is well spent by giving you honest, factual product information, news that is of benefit to you, and maybe even a story or two.

Among other things, we share some ideas on how to choose the right battery, determine the best service plan, and practical information such as what to do if your radio or pager gets dropped in water. A copy of a recent presentation is available by clicking on the link below. Note: The link file is in Acrobat PDF file format. If you don't have a copy of the Acrobat Reader, you can download a free copy by clicking on the Free Acrobat Reader selection in the Quick Links section above, to the right.
