Introducing XComm!
The increasing demands for VHF/UHF interoperability and the need for improved portable to base coverage have resulted in an exciting new product that meets both needs. Known as XComm, this new system consists of a low cost cross band repeater, a companion handheld radio, and the associated mobile.
The XComm repeater module simply plugs into the Motorola CDM1250 GM300, M100, M1225, and MaxTrac mobiles with no internal connections or adjustments required. Two models are available with compatibility offered for use either with VHF or UHF mobiles. A companion Motorola handheld radio is supplied with both models.
The S Series is supplied with a single channel control handheld radio. The P Series includes a control handheld radio with scan and channel select capability. Both models provide the ability to communicate on both VHF and UHF channels from the handheld radio. Give us a call at 1-800-489-2611 for additional information.

Greetings!
May was a very busy month for us. At the Alabama Police Chief's Conference in Dothan, Alabama, we introduced the new XComm mobile repeater system. Additional details are in this newsletter. We also introduced the new PocketMate wireless NCIC data access system that provides NCIC access for temporary use, bike patrols, and motor scouts.
We will be attending the Alabama Firefighter's Association conference on June 6th and 7th in Point Clear Alabama where we will be demonstrating the XComm mobile repeater as well as wireless PC and Palm devices for use in submitting NFIRS and EMS reports. The new NotiSender-TD voice paging terminal recently installed by the McAdory and Sylvan Springs Fire Departments will be shown as well as other new products.

GPS Revisited |
|
Last month, we told you about a new low cost vehicle tracking system called SilentPartner. This month, we have an actual user story by the Falkville Alabama Police Department. You can learn how Falkville put the SilentPartner to work to improve services to citizens and business owners while reducing legal liability for the department.
SilentPartner provides activity reporting at the end of each shift or trip. We also offer another system known as Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) reporting. This alternate system is more expensive that SilentPartner, but it can provide live reporting for use with computer aided dispatch systems. Call us at (205) 854-2611 for additional information

The savings add up with Canopy! |
|
Technically, Canopy is a broadband 5.7 GHz wireless solution that provides high speed connection between two points to provide an alternative to leased telephone lines or the high cost of installing fiber cable for the purpose of remotely connecting computer networks, Internet service, or PBX exchanges.
A second use of Canopy involves the distribution of wireless data with Internet access being a heavily promoted application. The REAL purpose of Canopy is saving money for those who are now leasing T1 circuits from the phone company. If you are paying $1,200 per month for a T1 and you can replace it for a one-time investment of less than $10,000, you will see the reason for calling us at 1-800-489-2611, TODAY!

New FlexPay payment plan |
|
The financial needs of many of our public safety users are not addressed with conventional payment terms. Fire and rescue agencies often are approved for grants or have required items in the budget for the next fiscal year. Law enforcement users frequently have task force money "in the bank" but cannot purchase needed equipment until released by the courts.
To address these, and other needs, we now offer the FlexPay payment program. If you have a need to acquire equipment costing ten thousand dollars or more, we can provide INTEREST FREE financing for up to one year. If desired, we can defer the entire payment for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months. We will work with you to get the equipment you need when you need it. Give us a call at 1-800-489-2611 for more information.

New Next Day Exchange Program |
|
There are several ways to address the need for service when needed. Some users simply ignore the requirement until a malfunction occurs. Others purchase spare units while many depend on the manufacturer's warranty, and a few purchase service contracts. None of these provide a total solution.
That is why we developed the Next Day Exchange Program or NDE. If you are covered by NDE, there are no maintenance problems. If you have a malfunction, you just give us a call. We send a replacement radio with UPS pick up tags that arrive the very next day. Your cost? Pay just 10% of the original equipment cost for a full year's coverage. NDE is simple, effective, and inexpensive! Call us for more information. By the way, have you seen our new main web site? If not, click on the link below!

New upgradeable desktop station! |
|
Traditionally, when a desktop base station is configured by the average dealer, it consists of a mobile radio bolted down to an external power supply, a mobile type microphone, no provision for battery backup or lightning protection, and NEVER the ability to upgrade to repeater operation.
We decided there was a better way. When the City of Trussville, Alabama upgraded from Low Band to VHF, they did it right with every fire station equipped with GR1225 desktop stations designed to do the job the RIGHT way. Every station can be upgraded to full repeater operation by adding a duplexer and any of the stations can be used to provide an exchange to the main repeater station in the event of an emergency. Additional information is available on request.
